Insurance on our tours

Firstly, we need to let you know that all riders and pillions need to have their own travel insurance when going on our tours. For the riders, this also needs to be valid when riding a rented motorcycle abroad. If you cannot find any in your home country, many of our customers seems to be happy with THIS ONE.

Insurance – Vietnam

The motorcycles used in this tour are only covered by compulsory third-party insurance required by Vietnam. This means that if an accident occurs—whether caused by the tour participant or a third party—the participant bears full financial responsibility. It is important to note that in most cases, the other party involved in an accident will not have any insurance coverage. Therefore, the participant may be liable for up to USD 5,000 in the event of total damage to their motorcycle.

Optional Insurance

For an additional fee of USD 300, we offer a limited comprehensive insurance option. This coverage reduces the maximum liability to USD 1,000 for damage to the participant’s motorcycle, compared to USD 5,000 under the basic insurance. For minor damages, repair costs will be collected at the end of the tour, as minor issues can often be easier to handle on the spot.

Participants choosing this comprehensive insurance must deposit USD 1,000 in cash at the start of the tour.

Important Note

In the event of an accident caused by a third party, the participant is still responsible for any damage to their motorcycle. It is also important to understand that third-party insurance in Vietnam typically covers only bodily injury to third parties and does not cover damage to the third party’s vehicle.
