Our motorcycle ride from north to south Thailand offers stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and diverse experiences. From mountains to stunning beachs. Starting in the mountainous regions of Chiang Mai, riders can enjoy winding roads, lush jungles, and rich local traditions. As you head south, regions like Sukhothai, Kanchanaburi and Hua Hon that reveal historical sites, while the landscapes transform into rolling hills and rice paddies. Approaching the southern islands, the route culminates in beautiful beaches like those in Krabi and Koh Lanta, where you can unwind amidst crystal-clear waters and vibrant nightlife. This journey combines adventure, relaxation, and a deep dive into the heart of Thailand’s heritage.

DEPARTURE AND RETURN: Chiang Mai, Thailand. Tour starts at 08:00 AM the day after the arrival day. The tour will finish in Koh Samui after breakfast the day after arrival.

Day 1. Arrival in Chiang Mai

​We meet at the hotel at 14:00 (2:00 PM) for a thorough tour review, where we go over the route, daily schedule and practical details. We then collect the bikes and make sure all equipment is in place.

The evening is used to prepare and pack the bikes in a structured and safe manner, so that everything is ready for departure. We end the day with a joint dinner, where we also do a final review and answer any questions before starting.

Day 2. Chiang Mai – Sukhothai (310 km)

​We start the day by departing from Chiang Mai and heading towards Lampang, where we visit a renowned elephant sanctuary with a focus on conservation and animal welfare. Here we gain an insight into the work to protect and rehabilitate elephants in Thailand.

The trip continues towards Uttaradit, before we leave the main roads and drive on smaller, scenic roads south towards Sukhothai. This part of the leg offers quieter traffic, beautiful surroundings and a more authentic experience of the local landscape.

We arrive at our resort in the afternoon, where there will be time to relax after today’s leg. Later, we visit the famous Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO protected area with impressive temple ruins and historical monuments that provide a unique insight into Thailand’s rich cultural heritage.

Day 3. Sukhothai - Singburi (306 km)

We start the day with a good breakfast before heading towards Sing Buri. The stage is mainly on smaller, quiet roads through lush agricultural areas, which provides a relaxed and authentic experience of the Thai landscape.

Along the way, we make several pleasant stops for coffee, as well as a well-deserved lunch, so that the pace is kept comfortable and the trip becomes as much an experience as a transport stage.

We arrive at the hotel in Sing Buri during the afternoon, with time to relax and recover from the day’s driving. In the evening, we gather for a good dinner by the river at the resort, in quiet and atmospheric surroundings.

Day 4. Singburi - Sai Yok (260 km)

This day marks the start of some of the most enjoyable stages of the trip, with roads that are truly suitable for motorbikes. We drive into Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park, where the landscape becomes more hilly and the roads narrower, surrounded by dense jungle and dramatic limestone formations.

We continue towards Srinakarin Dam, along beautiful, winding roads that provide a varied and entertaining driving experience. Along the way, we also get a short but special experience when we take a ferry across the water to continue towards Erawan National Park.

We arrive at our unique, floating hotel during the afternoon, where we can enjoy the peaceful surroundings right on the water. The evening is spent with a pleasant dinner and good atmosphere in scenic surroundings.

For those who want an extra experience, the next morning offers the opportunity to experience elephants up close – and maybe even see them bathing in their natural habitat.

Day 5: Sai Yok - Kancanaburi (200 km)

This day offers a shorter leg in terms of kilometers, but in return a strong historical and cultural experience. We start with a visit to Krasae Cave, before the trip continues to Hellfire Pass – one of the most poignant memorial sites from the construction of the Thailand-Burma Railway during World War II.

We also visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, where fallen prisoners of war are honored, before continuing to the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai and its accompanying war museum for a deeper understanding of the history of the area.

After an eventful day, we head to the hotel, where there will be time to relax by the pool with a cold drink. The evening ends with a pleasant dinner near the hotel, in quiet and comfortable surroundings.

We arrive at our unique, floating hotel during the afternoon, where we can enjoy the peaceful surroundings right on the water. The evening is spent with a pleasant dinner and good atmosphere in scenic surroundings.

Day 6. Sai Yok - Hua Hin (300 km)

This day offers a varied and entertaining drive along smaller, winding roads south towards Hua Hin. Along the way we stop to take photos at the impressive Giant Monkey Pod Tree – known as one of Thailand’s largest and most distinctive trees.

We continue through beautiful surroundings to Samnak Maiteng Reservoir, where we enjoy a relaxing lunch by the water. Then we stop at Kaeng Krachan Dam for a short break with refreshments, before continuing the final leg into Hua Hin.

Once there, we check into a charming hotel located on a lively street, with a short walk to both restaurants and nightlife. In the evening, we explore Hua Hin and experience the city’s relaxed but vibrant atmosphere.

Day 7. Rest day in Hua Hin

This is a ride-free day in Hua Hin, where you are free to spend your time as you wish. The day can be used for relaxing on the beach, exploring the city or your own activities in the surrounding area.

For those who want a more active day, we can organize a short excursion in the area – whether it is nature experiences, local attractions or small, pleasant drives in nearby surroundings.

This is also a great opportunity to recover, enjoy the facilities at the hotel and recharge for the upcoming stages.

Day 8. Hua Hin - Chumphon (308 km)

Today we follow the coastline southwards towards Chumphon, passing charming places such as Ban Krut, Bo Mao Bay and Thung Wua Laen Beach. The route passes through small, authentic fishing villages where everyday life along the coast gives the trip an extra dimension.

Along the way we make several informal and fun stops, including at Khlong Wan Fishing Pier, a “dead end road” that offers a slightly different experience, as well as Khao Dinsor Viewpoint with a great view of the coastal landscape.

We arrive at our resort in Chumphon during the afternoon, located right by the sea. Here we can relax with a cold drink in a glass while enjoying the sunset in quiet and scenic surroundings.

Day 9. Chomphon - Kao Sok National Park (339 km)

Today we head south towards Khao Sok National Park. The route goes via Kra Buri and on to Ranong, which is close to the border with Myanmar. This part of the trip offers a varied landscape and gives an insight into a less visited part of Thailand.

After Ranong we continue on beautiful, winding roads through Suk Samran and Bang Nai Si – an area known for its lush nature and little traffic, perfect for motorbike riding.

We arrive at the resort in Khao Sok National Park in the afternoon, where we stay in the middle of the jungle in simple, charming bungalows. Here we are close to nature – and that also includes the wildlife. Monkeys move freely in the area, so it is important not to leave belongings outside.

The evening is spent at the resort with a good dinner in quiet, natural surroundings – a very special experience in the heart of the jungle.

Day 10. Kao Sok - Krabi (223 km)

We start the day by driving to Ratchaprapha Dam, where we take time to explore the surrounding area. The scenery here is spectacular, with dramatic limestone formations rising from the emerald green water – a natural experience that is clearly different from what you are used to in Norway.

We then continue towards Phang Nga, an area known for its unique rock formations and lush surroundings. Along the way, we make several stops at cafes and viewpoints, so that we can enjoy both the nature and the trip at a comfortable pace.

In the afternoon, we arrive in Ao Nang, where we will stay for two nights. Here we have time to relax and enjoy the coastal life in one of Thailand’s most popular beach destinations.

Day 11: Rest day in Ao Nang, Krabi

This day is set aside to explore the spectacular islands and coastal areas around Ao Nang. We rent a traditional longtail boat and spend the whole day out at sea, stopping at some of the area’s most iconic sites.

Highlights include Koh Poda, known for its crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches, Chicken Island with its distinctive rock formation, and Tup Island, where at low tide you can walk between the islands in dry shoes.

We also visit Phra Nang Cave Beach, one of Thailand’s most photographed beaches, before heading to popular Railay Beach, known for its dramatic limestone cliffs and relaxed atmosphere.

This will be a day filled with swimming, snorkeling and unforgettable nature experiences. Remember sunscreen, light clothing and a good mood – this is one of the absolute highlights of the trip.

Day 12: Ao Nang - Kho Lanta (120 km)

This day offers a short and pleasant drive, with plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings along the way. We will make several stops along the route, both for coffee and a relaxing lunch, so that the trip maintains a leisurely and pleasant pace.

Later in the day, we will head to Koh Lanta, where we will arrive in the afternoon. Here we will check in and get ready for two nights in peaceful and scenic surroundings – a perfect place to slow down and enjoy island life.

Day 13: Rest day on Koh Lanta

Today is a rest-day in Koh Lanta, dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment in peaceful surroundings. The day can be spent on the beach swimming, sunbathing and resting – or at the hotel facilities for those who wish.

For those who want to experience more, there are good opportunities for excursions in the surrounding area, whether it’s snorkeling, island hopping or short trips around the island.

This is a perfect day to catch up, enjoy the pace and recharge before the next stages.

Day 14: Kho Lanta - Nakhon Si Thammarat (360 km)

After a good breakfast, we get on our bikes and take the ferry back to the mainland. Over the next few days, you will also notice that we are moving into the more Muslim part of Thailand, which is reflected in the landscape through several mosques and a slightly different culture and atmosphere.

Today’s stage takes us over beautiful and varied roads through Khao Pu – Khao Ya National Park, an area known for lush nature, little traffic and great driving experiences.

We stop for lunch at a carefully selected location along the way, before continuing towards one of the highlights of the day – the drive over the Tinsulanonda Bridge. This long bridge connection over the water provides an experience that is often compared to the iconic bridges down to Key West in the USA.

We arrive at our resort in the afternoon, where the evening is rounded off with a good dinner in quiet surroundings.

Day 15: Nakhon Sri Thammarat - Koh Samui (120 km)

Today we drive a short distance to the ferry port in Don Sak, where we take the ferry over to Koh Samui. The crossing takes about two hours and gives us a nice break from driving.

Once on Koh Samui, we arrive at the hotel early in the day, with plenty of time to relax, take a swim in the sea and enjoy a cold drink in comfortable surroundings.

In the evening, we explore the island life on Koh Samui, before gathering for a nice closing dinner – a nice mark of the trip we have had together.

Day 16: Departure home

The tour ends after breakfast on Koh Samui. For those who wish, there are good opportunities to extend your stay and enjoy a few extra days on this beautiful island.

Alternatively, you can travel on to other destinations or start your return journey. We are happy to assist with advice and recommendations for further travel plans if needed.
